In the mist-shrouded, dead forest of the HARZ region, where superstition and belief in witches and revenants still run rampant, a Catholic priest is found headless in the woods. The superstitious community believes an ancient horror that occurred a century ago is now repeating itself. An unwelcome poc priest is dispatched to the traditional german village by the bishop to solve the unholy mystery and must assert himself against the intrigues and mistrust of the shady village community, putting his own life in danger to uncover the truth.
